PLEASE NOTE: ALL WARRANTIES WILL BE NULL AND VOID IF THE ITEM HAS SUFFERED ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE INCLUDING PHYSICAL DAMAGE, SHOCK DAMAGE, STRESS OR ADVERSE PRESSURE (eg IN POCKETS OR IN BAGS), DIRT INGRESS INCLUDING SAND, GRIT, DUST, MOULD OR ANY OTHER FOREIGN ELEMENTS. (Bignorman RECOMMENDATION – TAKE OUT INSURANCE COVER OR CLAIM UNDER HOME CONTENTS INSURANCE IF THIS SITUATION ARISES)
UNDERWATER OR WATER PROOF UNITS – THESE ITEMS HAVE WATER RESISTANT TOLERANCE LEVELS, CUSTOMERS HAVE A RESPONSIBILTY TO CHECK TO KEEP ABOVE THESE LEVELS OR THE PRESSURE WILL CAUSE THE UNIT TO TAKE ON BOARD WATER, AS A RESULT THE UNIT WILL HAVE SUCUMBED TO STRESS AND ADVERSE PRESSURE AND THE WARRANTY WILL BE NULL AND VOID. THE CUSTOMER ALSO HAS A RESPONSIBILTY TO REPLACE SEALS AS PER MANUFACTURER INSTRUCTIONS, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL MAKE THE WARRANTY NULL AND VOID. THE CUSTOMER ALSO HAS A RESPONSIBILTY TO CLOSE SEALS AND COMPARTMENTS CORRECTLY TO AVOID THE UNIT TAKING WATER ON BOARD, AGAIN FAILURE TO DO SO WILL MAKE THE WARRANTY NULL AND VOID. THE MAJORITY OF UNDERWATER OR WATER PROOF UNITS AREN’T ADVISED TO BE TAKEN INTO SALT WATER, BEFORE DOING SO PLEASE CONSULT THE MANUAL OR MANUFACTURER FOR INSTRUCTIONS. IF REQUIRED BigNorman.com WILL ASK FOR EVIDENCE OF SEALS BEING REPLACED AS PER THE MANUFACTURER INSTRUCTIONS BY AN OFFICIAL SERVICE AGENT.
Due to our low low prices BigNorman.com is not in a position to refund any costs of returning any item unless you have received the wrong item by a mis-pick in our warehouse. All returns will be sent to a repairer or handler in the UK.
If you have received the wrong item due to a mis-pick in our warehouse you must let BigNorman.com know within 48hrs of receiving it, if this is BigNorman.com will refund the postage of returning the item up to £6.99, a receipt will be requested to prove the cost. If however, you let us know after 48hrs it is at the customers expense to return the item. If you have ordered the wrong item you must return it within 7 days at your own expense. In both cases the item must return be returned in a saleable condition. If not BigNorman.com reserves the right to set a recommended saleable value for the product and charge the customer the difference between that value and the value of the item as shown as new on the BigNorman.com website. All box contents must be returned, failure to do so will mean the cost of the non-returned items deducted from the refund or replacement item (s).

We will then issue you with a returns number and an address for it to be sent to, if your item has developed a fault from time to time we may request you send it directly to the repairer depending on this fault.
If your order is over the 30 day period but within the warranty given, you item will be sent to the repairs within 24 hours of being received by ourselves. We assess the unit and log all returned items, if we feel there are items that are not necessary for the repair these may be returned to you immediately for safe keeping. We anticipate most repairs to take up to 30 days. However this all depends on the repair needed as some parts need to be ordered in specifically. Most repairs are done without communication from the repairers so please do not be alarmed if we are not bombarding you with emails with updates. However if you have any queries along the way please contact us returns@bignorman.com. If your item falls outside of the warranty (i.e. the item is damage by user) then an inspection fee maybe applied by the manufacturers repairing the item, regardless of your decision to have the item repaired fully or return to you unfixed. By returning your item for repair we understand that you have read the conditions of the return fully and have given your consent. Therefore the costs will be paid by yourself.
Please note all packages returned to ourselves/handler is at the responsibility of the customer. It is recommended that the correct insurance on returning the item is taken out so to protect for any damages in transit. This responsibility lies soley with the sender.
